Senior Java Developer with Kafka

🟣Project Description

We are looking for a Senior Kafka Developer for our client - one of the world's largest natural resource companies.

You will be a part of cross-functional team responsible for maintaining and modernization of existing trading platform. It is a long-term project that will require close collaboration with business and IT stakeholders and implementation of new new features.

🟣Responsibilities

• Assess business requirements and provide development estimates

• Translate user requirements to user stories and technical task

• Work closely with BA and QA teams to deliver fit for purpose technical solutions

• Deliver quality code changes according to timescales provided

• Provide regular updates regarding development progress

• Act as part of the project team and be fully supportive to other members within the team

🟣Skills

What is relevant to have

• 5+ years of relevant experience (ideal candidate should have 10 years)

• Strong hands-on experience with Kafka proven by the project work

• Experience with integration projects with significant data transformations

• Experience in building business-critical end-user systems

• Experience in designing modern web applications, unit testing, Agile development environment

• Degree in computer science/engineering (or equivalent)

• Kafka Schema registry and Avro mappings

• Kafka Streams

• CDC connectors (Oracle)

• Kubernetes deployment and configuration

• Java 8/11 experience

• Java 17+

• Spring Boot 3+

• Defining interfaces with open API

• Exposure to integration frameworks such as Apache Camel or Spring Cloud Data Flow

• English written and spoken on the business level

What is nice to have

Strong Oracle knowledge proven by the project work
