To integrate seamlessly into our engineering squads, operating as a full-time member who drives complex software solutions within the Shopify ecosystem and contributes to developing our App extensions and other pivotal projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and optimize Shopify applications, ensuring deep integration with its API stack
Participate in daily standups, and team meetings, and utilize communication tools such as Slack as a core team member
Contribute to the development and troubleshooting of our Non-Plus API work / POS integrations
Provide technical leadership in navigating the Shopify ecosystem, applying out-of-the-box thinking to solve complex problems
Technical Skills:
Shopify API and Ecosystem Proficiency
Extensive experience with Shopify's REST and GraphQL APIs
Expertise in building apps that leverage Shopify Admin API, Storefront API, and checkout extensibility
Programming Languages
Advanced proficiency in Ruby on Rails for backend development
Strong knowledge of GraphQL
Strong knowledge of JavaScript, particularly with libraries like React and related Frameworks
Integration Expertise
Experience integrating Shopify with third-party systems (ERP, CRM, payment gateways)
Proficient in utilizing webhooks and other integration points within the Shopify ecosystem

Required Qualifications and Experience
Educational Background
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Professional Experience
At least 5 years of professional software development experience, with 3+ years specifically on the Shopify platform
Proven success in delivering complex Shopify projects, particularly for Shopify Plus merchants
