Key Responsibilities
Backend Development:
Design, develop, and maintain backend services using TypeScript to support data processing and application needs.
Implement and optimize GraphQL APIs using Hasura to enable efficient data querying and manipulation.
Database Management:
Optimize and manage our PostgreSQL database to ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability.
Perform data modeling and database schema design to support business requirements and analytical needs.
Data Integration:
Collaborate with developers to integrate data seamlessly across various systems using Hasura and GraphQL.
Ensure data consistency and integrity across the entire data flow, from ingestion to querying.
Performance Tuning:
Conduct performance tuning and query optimization for complex data operations, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimal latency.
Data Security:
Implement and maintain data security measures to protect sensitive information, following best practices and compliance requirements.
Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
Monitor data infrastructure, identify potential issues, and troubleshoot to ensure smooth operations and minimal downtime.
Qualifications
Technical Skills:
Proven experience as a Backend Developer with a strong focus on data engineering.
Proficiency in Node.JS & TypeScript for backend development.
Strong experience with SQL and PostgreSQL, including database optimization and management.
Experience with Hasura and GraphQL for building and managing APIs.
Experience with data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
Familiarity with designing and maintaining ETL processes.
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment.
Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
