Forte Group is seeking a talented Ruby on Rails Backend Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work closely with our lead engineers to design, develop, and maintain the backend services that power our data privacy platform. You will contribute to the development of integrations with numerous third-party systems, focusing on scalability, reliability, and robust error handling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Development: Implement backend services and integrations with third-party systems, ensuring they are efficient, secure, and scalable.
• Collaboration: Work closely with senior engineers and other team members to design and develop new features and enhancements.
• Testing & Debugging: Write unit and integration tests to ensure the reliability of the codebase. Debug and resolve issues that arise during development and post-deployment.
• Maintenance: Support the maintenance and optimization of existing systems, ensuring they continue to perform at a high level.
• Documentation: Contribute to the documentation of code and systems to ensure clarity and ease of use for future development.
• Learning & Growth: Continuously improve your technical skills and stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.

Technical Skills:

Primary Technologies:

• Backend Development: Ruby on Rails
• Data Storage: Postgres (or similar relational databases), Redis (or similar in-memory databases)

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in backend engineering, with a strong focus on developing scalable and secure web applications.
• Proficiency in Ruby on Rails and experience with relational databases like Postgres
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS, and containerization technologies such as Docker.
• Experience in writing unit and integration tests, with a strong commitment to delivering reliable, high-quality code.
• Good understanding of distributed systems and error handling mechanisms.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
