What do we need

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer (Scala) to join our team and become part of an agile development team and contribute to Dotmatics’ next generation product ecosystem. You will develop and maintain features of our product suite, with a focus on ensuring quality code and contribution to the technical solution from design through to implementation, you be expected to work with a high degree of independence and autonomy.

In this role you will get to

• Plan, build and maintain SaaS based software products using an agile delivery methodology.
• Undertake front-end development, using React/TypeScript, (You should have the willingness to learn if no prior experience in Front End)
• Developer mentoring and ensure quality code by conducting code reviews
• Develop prototype/proof-of-concept implementations for early feedback
• Write Automated tests (Unit Integration)

We are looking for people who have 2+ yrs experience in one or both Scala/Java with extensive experience in backend development with an openness to working on front end and willingness to work with other languages & tools. You will be passionate & interested in working on big data challenges and can demonstrate experience in:

• Back-end Development, working with scala-based APIs written using Akka and ZIO
• React / Typescript or any other modern front-end framework
• Databricks, and/or other big data ecosystems.
• Kubernetes/Docker or similar would be advantageous

You may also have experience in

• Software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
