Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a PHP Developer (Lead). The PHP Developer (Lead) will be responsible for leading a team of developers, designing and implementing complex web-based applications using PHP, and ensuring that best practices are being followed. The PHP Developer (Lead) will also work closely with project managers, business analysts, and clients to gather requirements and ensure the timely delivery of projects.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in full-stack web development with emphasis on PHP
Proven experience in leading development teams, and managing complex web-based projects from inception to delivery
Expertise in PHP, MVC frameworks, such as Laravel
Strong proficiency in front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery
Experience with database technologies including MySQL and PostgreSQL
Experience with RESTful API development and integration, and version control systems such as Git
Experience with working in an Agile/Scrum development environment
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
Experience with other web-based programming languages such as Python, Ruby, or Java is a plus
Understanding of security best practices for web applications is a plus
