Senior Ruby on Rails Developer

The candidate we are looking for should be located in: Turkey, Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Albania, Kosovo, Monte Negro, North Macedonia

Work Schedule: 7 AM - 3 PM EST (2 PM - 10 PM GMT+3)

Purpose of the Role

As a Senior Ruby Developer at Xogito, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining software applications that meet our clients’ needs and deliver exceptional user experiences. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects and the continuous improvement of our software products.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Participate in architecture and roadmap planning of the product’s new features
• Take an active role in the full SDLC leveraging your knowledge
• Follow the latest technology trends and implement best practices
• Work closely with PM, Devs, QAs, Ops and stakeholders to ensure best product outcome
• Follow Agile methodology and keep work well documented

Required Experience & Knowledge

Essential:

• Solid web programming experience using and following TDD principles
• Seniority expertise in Ruby on Rails and Rspec
• Experience in GraphQL development
• Thorough understanding of Postgres and Active Record
• Familiarity and capability in handling Legacy Code

Desirable:

• Knowledge of infrastructure tools such as containers, Docker, and AWS
• Good understanding of Redis

Required Education & Qualifications

• Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is a must
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related degree is a plus
• Any relevant certificated would be considered a plus
