Dayforce Philippines is a growing HCM (human capital management) company based in Manila. Our platform, Workcloud, caters to a wide range of clients in the Japanese local market. Workcloud combines HR functions with time management, leave, and payroll services.
About the opportunity As a Ruby on Rails Developer, you will not just be coding, you will be engineering business solutions. With a significant focus on backend development, your role will be pivotal in developing and enhancing large-scale features for Workcloud. Your day-to-day will involve iterating our system to meet evolving regulatory demands and user needs.
What You'll Get Do
Innovate and Implement: Design and deploy features across the full stack of our application.
Troubleshoot and Optimize: Debug and resolve production issues and refine system performance.
Collaborate and Create: Work in a multi-national and culturally rich team of Japanese and English speakers to deliver top tier products.
Elevate Engineering Practices: Drive code quality and consistency and bring innovations to our development processes.
Knowledge Sharing: Participate in peer code reviews and write detailed technical documentations.
Skills And Experience We Value
Experienced: You have at least 3 years of Ruby on Rails expertise and are proficient with TDD.
Communicative: Fluent in English.
Technically Versatile: Proficient in our tech stack (Ruby on Rails, MySQL, jQuery, Kubernetes), and you have a knack for building aesthetically pleasing UIs with SASS.
Innovative Thinker: You consider system performance integral to your development process.
What Would Make You Really Stand Out
Cloud infrastructure knowledge, especially Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Kubernetes, and ArgoCD pipelines
Prior domain knowledge in payroll and HR tech
Conversational Japanese capabilities
