We are looking for a Senior Kafka Developer for our client - one of the world's largest natural resource companies.
You will be a part of a cross-functional team responsible for maintaining and modernization of existing trading platform. It is a long-term project that will require close collaboration with business and IT stakeholders and the implementation of new features.
Responsibilities
Assess business requirements and provide development estimates
Translate user requirements to user stories and technical task
Work closely with BA and QA teams to deliver fit-for-purpose technical solutions
Deliver quality code changes according to the timescales provided
Provide regular updates regarding development progress
Act as part of the project team and be fully supportive to other members within the team
Skills
Must have
5+ years of relevant experience (ideal candidate should have 10 years)
Java 17+
Strong Oracle knowledge proven by the project work
Hands-on experience with Kafka proven by the project work
Experience with integration projects with significant data transformations
Java 8/11 experience
CDC connectors (Oracle)
Kubernetes deployment and configuration
Spring Boot 3+
Defining interfaces with open API
Experience in building business-critical end-user systems
English written and spoken on the business level
Degree in computer science/engineering (or equivalent)
Exposure to integration frameworks such as Apache Camel or Spring Cloud Data Flow
