Backend Developer (Contract - Potential for Full-Time) - Remote (4 Day Work Week)

We're looking for a talented and passionate Backend Developer to join our growing team! In this short-term contract role with the possibility to transition to full-time, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the backend infrastructure for our applications. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to bring innovative features to life.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure backend systems using your expertise in JavaScript (Node.js) and other technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (designers, product managers) to understand and implement backend functionalities.
  • Build and integrate efficient RESTful APIs for seamless communication with frontend applications.
  • Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code adhering to best practices.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to coding standards.
  • Troubleshoot and debug complex backend issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  • Participate in the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC) from planning and design to deployment and maintenance.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the backend development landscape.
  • Contribute to maintaining and improving technical documentation.


Technical Skills:

  • Required:
  • 2+ years of experience with JavaScript (Node.js)
  • 2+ years of experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Understanding of security practices in Database Management Systems (DBMS).
  • Preferred:
  • Working knowledge of Golang
  • Intermediate skill in C# and Kotlin
  • Familiarity with Graph APIs and their integration.
  • Experience with MySQL Workbench for database management and optimization.
  • Experience with Azure cloud services and Docker for application deployment and DevOps principles.
  • Nice to Have:
  • Working knowledge of frontend technologies (Flutter, Kotlin) and Firebase
