Role Description
This is a remote, part-time contract role for a Data Engineer / Power BI Developer. The Data Engineer / Power BI Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining performant data pipelines and ETL processes that support business intelligence reporting. Additionally, this individual will collaborate with clients to develop interactive and visually appealing Power BI dashboards that provide valuable business insights.
Qualifications
Ability to gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Proven experience in developing interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI (3 years minimum)
Strong proficiency in SQL and Python
Strong knowledge of DAX (Data Analysis Expressions)
Experience working with APIs inside of Power BI
Experience with data modeling and data visualization best practices
Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and methodologies
Experience in data analysis and problem-solving
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS is a plus
Hours
Approximately 15 - 20 hours per week for 3 months with the opportunity to extend the contract further
