We are searching for a Chief Android Developer to join our remote team.
The position involves developing and supporting a highly-rated customer Android native app. The ideal candidate should have deep knowledge of Android development, Java, App Components, UI frameworks, developer tools, and workflows. You will work with both local and remote teams, requiring leadership skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic team environment.
Responsibilities
- Playing a key role in the development and support of the customer's Android native app
- Active participation in the development of next-generation applications
- Team collaboration across functions to ensure project success
- Alignment of app development with customer needs and industry standards
- Keeping pace with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure app relevance
- Providing mentorship and guidance to less experienced team members
- Taking on a leadership role in projects as needed
- At least 7 years of experience in Mobile App Development
- A minimum of 2 years' experience leading software development teams, showcasing strong leadership skills
- Expertise in Android, App Components, UI frameworks, developer tools, and workflows
- Deep understanding of Java
- Mastery of Android Design Patterns, Google's Design Guidelines, and Google Play Developer Program Policies
- Experience with networking, local data caching, and multitasking on Android
- Familiarity with 3rd party libraries and services
- Knowledge and experience working with Agile processes
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment, with both local and remote team members
- Proficient English language skills for efficient communication with team members and stakeholders
- Practical development experience on other mobile platforms
- Development skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
