Roles and Responsibilities:

Must have Sugar platform's architecture and documentation on granular concepts in Sugar such as logic hooks, caching, logging, extensions, job queue, and more.

Sugar® is built on open standards and technology such as HTML5, PHP, and JavaScript, and runs on a variety of free and open-source technology like Linux, MySQL, and Elasticsearch. The Sugar platform also supports common proprietary databases such as Oracle, IBM DB2, and Microsoft SQL Server.

• Work with the product and data science team to design new services and new features for our AI platform.
• Understand business requirements and translate them into new feature designs and development level requirements.
• Research and experiment with new technologies and their potential use within the platform.
• Perform code reviews.
• Ensuring code standards are followed on all code.

Expertise you will bring in:

• Advanced degree in computer science or a related discipline.
• Experience in Distributed Systems Architecture and Scaling/Performance Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in minimum one of the following languages: Python, Java, NodeJS.
• Strong knowledge of designing and working with SQL and NoSQL databases. (Bonus for Time Series/Graph DB)
• Experience in building data pipelines and preferably also in data architecture, data modeling & data governance.
• Experience with microservices and orchestration.
• Experience in writing User Stories and System Requirements.
