Angular Developer for Open-Source Project

Company Description

We're nearing public launch of our primary product, edge - the most modular, extensible, and open-source Firebase alternative. Leveraging the backend we're developing a few end-user applications including a farm management tool, named farmpure, like farmOS but more modular, extensible and with integrated (multi-vendor) marketplace.

Role Description

• Develop and maintain scalable, performant Angular applications for our open-source farm management platform.
• Collaborate with edge maintainer team to integrate frontend components with the backend
• Implement responsive design principles to ensure seamless user experiences across various devices and screen sizes.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code adhering to coding standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with product management and design teams to translate user requirements and wireframes into functional frontend features
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers to maintain code quality and consistency
• Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in Angular development and frontend engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Proven experience developing web applications using Angular framework.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript and and responsive design
• Experience working with RESTful APIs (optionally GraphQL) and integrating frontend with backend services
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues
• Excellent communication (in English) and collaboration skills, with a passion for open-source development.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Experience with Firebase or other backend as a service (BaaS) platforms is a plus
• Experience with ERP system (eg Odoo), farm management tool or agro industry is a plus
• Familiarity with cross-platform framework CapacitorJS is a plus

Bonus Skills:

• Experience with Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, Zitadel, PostgREST, EMQX, Istio, or MinIO
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks
• Familiarity with UX/UI design principles and tools
• Contributions to open-source projects or involvement in developer communities
