Senior ETL Developer

Description

The Aramark Sports & Entertainment Data Science team is looking for a dynamic ETL Developer to join our growing team of analytics experts. The role will be responsible for expanding and optimizing our data and data pipeline architecture, as well as optimizing data flow and collection for the Data Science team. The ETL Developer will support our business intelligence developers, data analysts, and data scientist and will ensure optimal data delivery architecture is consistent throughout ongoing projects. They must be self-directed and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple systems and products. The right candidate will be excited by the prospect of learning new tools and data sources, as well as taking an iterative approach with solutions to drive growth in our data analysis capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Advise and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture

• Assemble large, complex data sets that meet business requirements.

• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual

processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability,

etc.

• Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of

data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and Snowflake ‘big data’

technologies.

• Create data auditing process to ensure clean and reliable data.

• Work with stakeholders including IT, Marketing, and Finance to assist with data-related

technical issues and support data infrastructure needs.

• Create data tools for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them in

building and optimizing our product into an innovative industry leader.

• Manage data provisioning process to clients.

• Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data

systems.

Qualifications

• Strong background with development and support of real-time Data Warehouse (DW)

installations/operations.

• Minimum 3-5 years designing and implementing relational and data warehousing

models working with various data technologies (e.g. Oracle, MS SQL, Redshift, Netezza

or Snowflake) along with understanding of the challenges and limitations of these

solutions

• Strong background with commercially available ETL / ELT solutions such as, Informatica

PowerCenter MS SSIS or IPaaS Solutions (e.g. Informatica, Mulesoft, Boomi or

SnapLogic).

• Proficient in ANSI SQL, PL/SQL and TSQL in Data Warehousing design and techniques

using Oracle, MS SQL and other RDBMS technologies.

• Provide database optimization and performance tuning guidance and support.

• Experience in the implementation of modern data patterns for event based and real

time data exchange a plus.

• Experience with integration of large scale BI / Visualization solutions (e.g. Cognos,

Tableau, Qlik) a plus.

• Understand impact of database changes on other systems and applications Experience

with interacting within a diverse user / customer base.

• Provide application support possibly after hours or on weekends.

• Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills; experience working with

senior managers and members of other departments.
