As a Software Developer Engineer (SDE) - III in the Vacation Rentals vertical at TripAdvisor, you'll be instrumental in crafting digital solutions for one of the most visited travel platforms globally. Responsibilities:
- Lead design and implementation of complex technical systems, estimating scope of work, organizing and prioritizing work, communicating timelines, and managing expectations.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture. Optimizing data structures in various DB technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Deploy applications on AWS using IaaC with AWS CDK or Terraform, ensuring the best performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications.
- Monitor the performance and optimize the systems for speed and scalability.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and contribute to building the best practices.
- Shift timings - 11AM IST to 7PM IST
- Interview Process - 4 rounds
- Name of the Payroll running company – Kaam Work. The offer letter will mention Tripadvisor. All of the employee management (growth, compensation, work planning etc) will be done by TA. EOR model. Not contractors.
- The agreement will get signed with Kaam Work
- Will talents work on their own device or will you provide them your equipment? KaamWork will provide Macbook to talents.
- Kaamwork is the on-the-ground HR partner managing services like talent sourcing, employment contracts, payroll, and compliance. Kaamwork serves as the Employer of Record while Trip manages all work-related decisions and operations.
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of large scale, full life cycle development experience
- Proven experience in Java, with a deep understanding of the Spring Boot framework.
- Experience with AWS and database technologies such as DynamoDB, Postgres and MySQL.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and service monitoring.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Proven experience working with cloud technologies.
- Proven experience when working on postgres.
