What You'll Get To Do
- Establishing the standards and providing technical advice and decision-making that affects our team and the broader development organisation
- Establishing a broad understanding of the entire architecture, as well as very detailed understanding of their area
- Owning the technical testing and performance planning side of projects
- Planning for long projects or complex groups of user stories and breaking this work down into milestones to avoid large monolithic deliverables
- Delivering software on-time and improving the accuracy of their team’s estimations; contributing widely to making others better via code reviews, mentoring, and training
- Identifying technical problems and creating solutions
- Building cross-team consensus for solutions and managing projects to make these solutions come to life
- Evolving the architecture to better support future requirements based on product direction, defining SLA for their area of focus
- Taking an active role in accelerating overall proficiency by looking to create or administer technical training to improve
- Evolving the team’s processes and guiding the team through the changes.
- Experience leading an Agile development team
- Proven ability to mentor and develop team members
- In-depth working experience with C# and .NET Framework
- In-depth working experience with a javascript framework, like React
- Experience building highly-performant RESTful API
- Experience building highly-performant and scalable applications
- Proficiency with SQL and SQL query optimization
- Experience with public cloud infrastructure such as Azure
- Deep knowledge of object-oriented design and development
- Experience with Microservice Architectural design
- Fast learner and extremely comfortable with building and improving complex software systems for critical business processes
- Able to consistently solve complex technical issues independently when required
- Excels in taking ownership of design, build and quality for assigned tasks and issues until completion
- University level Computer science or computer engineering degree or equivalent
