Project for US-based hedge fund with 16 offices worldwide including Poland and an AUM of $26.7B. The firm invests in multiple asset classes and strategies, namely long/short equity, systematic, global macro, and venture capital.
Your tasks:
As a Java Developer (DevOps), you will work on the Reference Data team within the Data Engineering Technology group
to enhance the our Data distribution and deliver new business initiatives and technology for their clients including teams such as Risk, Compliance etc.
Specifically, you will:
Work with the team to extend our Reference data distribution systems.
Collaborate closly with application developers to build and enhance infrastructure automation for developer, testing, monitoring and CI/CD
Work on the latest infrastructure management like Kubernetes and dockers for fast and consistent delivery
Work with service mesh like Istio and OAuth to secure service access
You will be the owner of infrastructure for microservices and help with live service troubleshooting
Design, develop, debug, and maintain efficient and reliable solutions in Java
Your work experience:
5+ years of solid Java development with multithreading experience
Cloud experience
Experience with Kubernetes and docker
Working with Kafka and Redis
Experience with Jenkins pipeline and settings up EKS clusters in cloud
Excellent communication skills
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Commitment to the highest ethical standards
Nice to have:
AWS compute, containers, elasticache, rds
