Responsibilities
What you'll do
As a Java Developer, you will work on the Reference Data team within the Data Engineering Technology group to enhance the our Data distribution to other consumers in the firm and deliver new business initiatives.
Specifically, you will:
Work with the team to extend our Reference data distribution systems.
Design, develop, debug, and maintain efficient and reliable solutions in Java
Develop close working relationships and collaborate with other Technology teams to deliver cross-departmental initiatives
Collaborate with QA and support teams to deliver the highest quality products to our clients
Willing to learn vendor tools and support them
Skills
Must have
5+ years of solid Java development with Spring Boot and multithreading
Any cloud development experience
Experience with Kafka development and Redis in the cloud
Experience using reactive and stream programming
Excellent communication skills
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Commitment to the highest ethical standards
Nice to have
Web development using node.js. Knowledge of gRPC is a plus
AWS experience
Automation of test cases to run using test containers in the cloud
